A few years ago, my friend Lars kept telling me about a new meetup he had started. About one to two months before William and I joined as co-organizers, he was already gathering 15-20 deeply technical AI builders at StartupLab in Oslo.
Those early meetups were raw and focused. People shared what they were building, what news mattered, how they were designing AI products and interfaces, which new models were worth paying attention to, and what they were learning from training and shipping systems in practice.
I joined soon after, and the meetup grew fast. Today, each meetup has a strong mix of founders, engineers, researchers, and investors who genuinely want to build together. Every time we host, the connection density gets stronger, and you can feel more people becoming deeply invested in the meetup itself.
- We focus on connecting top technical founders, software engineers, ML researchers, and venture capitalists in one room.
- We launched Mad House, an initiative to help more founders from Oslo spend time building in San Francisco.
